Direct Pay FAQs
A few helpful answers before your visit.
Do you accept insurance for office visits?
No. We are a direct pay dermatology practice, so office visits are paid at the time of service. This allows us to keep pricing clear and visits more personalized.
Can I still use insurance for prescriptions, labs, or pathology?
Often, yes. While we do not bill insurance for your office visit, prescriptions, blood work, and pathology may still be processed through your insurance depending on the pharmacy, lab, pathology provider, and your plan.
Can I submit my visit to insurance?
We can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan. Medicare and Medicaid do not allow reimbursement for services provided in a direct-pay setting. As a result, visits at our office cannot be submitted to Medicare or Medicaid for reimbursement.
How do I know which visit to book?
A focused visit is best for 1–2 concerns. A comprehensive visit is best for a full skin exam, multiple spots, a full body rash, or up to 2 conditions. If you are unsure, our team can help guide you.
